Isn't it amazing that a milestone like 600 homeruns can go almost unnoticed? Is it more important that Reds C Paul Bako had his 1st career 2 homerun game last night? Below is a list of the members of the 600+ homerun club:
1. Barry Bonds - 762
2. Hank Aaron - 755
3. Babe Ruth - 714
4. Willie Mays - 660
5. Sammy Sosa - 609
6. Ken Griffey, Jr. - 600 and counting
There are 6 people in MLB history to have hit atleast 600 homeruns - 6! Think about that, and what Griffey, Jr. could have produced had he not missed over 60 games on average the last 7 seasons (over 420 games). By the time he decides to "hang em up", Junior will pass Sosa and Mays and sit in 5th place all time. You might ask, how will he be 5th if he passes those 2? Well a guy by the name of Alex Rodriguez will be on his way to 800 by this time. Think about it! The Pro

Good Post Pro!!!
Yeah, its sad to see Griffey Jr. not recieve as much hype as he deserves. People are like "600, oh thats great". Yeah, thats amazing! One of the greatest, one of my favorites, and in my opinion he has the greastet LH swing of all time. I love to watch him swing it. He is classy, a great teammate, and a great family man. A good role model for what a baseball player should be, or anyone for that matter. I look for him to play for a good bit longer, but I am sure he wants to go out on a high note, and he wants to spend time with his family. You never know though, his son is in the dugout all the time and hangs out with some pretty good teadhers. He looks just like his dad, tall, not to mention a baller. I think he is 16. He might want to play together, like his dad and him did in Seattle. Now that would be something special!!!
