*Breaking News* - RHP Clayton Shunick Reports to Billings, Montana

Former NC State Wolfpack RHP, Clayton Shunick has officially signed with the Cincinnati Reds Baseball Club. In a text message I received this morning, the 21 year old righty informed me that he will report to the Short Season Class-A Billings Mustangs on June 17th to begin his professional baseball career. You can follow his progress (though probably not for long at this level) at http://billings.mustangs.milb.com/index.jsp?sid=t513.

Shunick was drafted in the 5th round by the Reds in the 2008 MLB Amateur First Year Player Draft. After a season where he was a first team ACC selection, where he led the conference in strikeouts.

Remember who brought you the news first - The Pro and the Joe! We will be following Clayton on his rise to the "Big Leagues", and expect nothing in return (except tix when he comes to Atlanta). Good luck on your journey Clayton Shunick! Pro
