Someone once told me that you are never as good as you are when you are going good, and you are never as bad as you are when things are going bad. Well that is good to know because the Braves are a train wreck. The moment can be linked to one pop up in the 9th inning against the Phillies, need I say more, Kelly Johnson and the Braves still have not recovered from that disaster. The fact of the matter is that the Braves are going to sweep the Angels, and then ride that momentum into a series win in Texas. After all that we have a sweep of the terrible Seattle Mariners and then win the series against Milwaukee, and guess what we are right back in the race. Hopefully Chipper will read this and know that there is hope and that he needs to relay the message to the younger guys that Joe knows exactly what is going to happen and they will be fine. Also, Chipper since you are reading this, tell Francoeur that he is the best bad ball swinger in the league, and be sure to tell Blanco that he is awesome against lefties. Final thought, be sure to tell Glavine that even though Smoltz is not pitching anymore, it does not mean that Glavine has to have season ending surgery so that they can play golf together. The Braves are about to catch fire, so jump on the bandwagon while there is room, because the train is rolling and Jo Jo Reyes is the conductor.

Good Post!!!
Thank God for some new faces on the club. They fit in great, and give some new life to everyone. You knew they would play well. Charlie Morton, Bradon Jones, and Ridgeway are good additions. I think we should bring up some more guys and let them do good, struggle, get out all the kinks for the rest of the season, and be nice and ready come Spring Training and 2009. I want Jordan Shaffer, he's ready, and Jason Heyward, he's a little younger, so maybe in 2010...but you know what I'm saying...ITS TIME!!!
Is there anyone out there but me that thinks Yunel Escobar thinks that he knows everything there is to know about the strike zone? The quick turn to 1st base is getting old as is his "look" at the umpire - maybe when he has been around a few more years (if he is) then he can have an "attitude" until then Stay in the box and shut up!!!!
I agree Linda, Yunel is starting to wear thin his welcome with antics like what you are saying and others. I think he thinks he is the best thing in baseball since baseball, and his baserunning style where he is always on the go and never using his brain is getting old. Yunel needs to step it down a notch before he rubs everyone the wrong way.

are you kidding me that Francour almost got thrown out for questioning a called 3rd strike? Like he knows the strike zone!! Maybe Escobar could give him some tips since he knows everything -- Also if the AL is a hitters league (and it always has been) then we are in worse trouble than I thought. Dont give Tex another dime and we better get some pitching or we will be in the same shape next year!!!
