Everyone's favorite "productivity in the office killer" (except maybe the NCAA Basketball brackets) is fantasy football! Guess what? It's right around the corner! So many decisions to make, so many strategies to be discussed. Do I take LaDainian Tomlinson or Adrian Peterson (no brainer to me)? Do I want 1st pick (meaning I get 1 and then wait 19 picks to go again) or do I want a middle of the 1st rd pick so I can go again 10 picks later?
Now, the Joe is the king of fantasy sports, so I should probably let him expound on this topic at a later date. I'll hit you with a few of my sneak peak picks for the 2008-2009 fantasy football season, a few sleepers if you will. I'll try to give you 1 for each position.
1. Matt Forte, Bears RB - watch for this rookie to blow up now that trouble maker Cedric Benson has "rushed" himself out of the league. Oh yeah, he has too because the Bears can't throw!
2. Drew Brees, Saints QB - you won't get Brady, so take another top tier RB if available, skip Manning and pick up Drew Brees a round later. Not a sleeper here, just a strategic move. Trust me!
3. Santonio Holmes, Steelers WR - will be Big Ben's go to guy this year, makes big play after big play. Not really a secret here, but a possibility to get him later in the draft and he will be as productive as Ocho Cinco (as of last year this is Houshmandzadeh's team anyway).
4. Tony Scheffler, Broncos TE - not a super important position, but instead of thinking you have to grab Antonio Gates or Jason Witten early, wait and snag Jay Cutler's only reliable (Brandon Marshall can't stay out of legal troubles) receiver.
5. Rashard Mendenhall, Steelers RB - Ok I did not want to write about a kicker. My suggestion here is to not draft one at all and pick a different one up each week. I decided to throw in 1 more RB sleeper (everyone will jump on Darren McFadden, and rightfully so). "Fast" Willie Parker best watch out. Mendenhall is coming to take your carries! Pick him up as a 3rd or 4th RB late in the draft. Again, trust me!

YOU KNOW I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN INTO THE FANTASY FOOTBALL THING IM NOT EVEN SURE HOW IT WORKS WOULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN PLEASE.
Fantasy football is awesome man. Sign up for a league and check it out. You pick players and depending on how they do in real life, it equals points for your team. Try it out. Keeps you interested in random NFL games on the weekend without having to call your bookie! The Pro
