The Pirates came away huge winners over the last few weeks. A total of 8 prospects for two overrated players in Xavier Nady and Jason Bay, and a good reliever in Marte. If I were a fan of the Pirates I would be excited about the way the team went out and got prospects. Here is a list of the players and their stats:

Craig Hansen P 25 yrs old (2008) 1-0 1.62 Era- tall kid that throws mid 90's
Bryan Morris SP 21 yrs old (2008) 2-4 3.20 era- 1st rounder
Andy LaRoche 3B 25 yrs old (2007) .309 18hr 48 rbi
Jeff Karstens SP 26 yrs old (2008) 6-4 3.80 era- starting tonight for Pirates
Dan McCutchen SP 26 yrs old (2007) 14-4 2.47 era
Jose Tabatha OF 19 yrs old (2007) .307 5hr 54rbi- voted best hitter for average in Yanks org.
Ross Ohlendorf SP 26 yrs old (2007) 4-4 4.81 era
very exciting players, a lot more exciting than Kotchman and Marek.....

Pirates need it. Hopefully management can keep making good decisions and put them back on the map like the early 90's.
How bout my boy Sammons coming through in the clutch. He should have been Mac's backup since jump.
You can have him, but he should have been the backup the whole year....
