The Tampa Bay Rays have been looking for a right fielder all season, they traded for Gabe Gross, they have used Eric Hinske, who have done fairly well for the Rays this year, but they are still in need of a right fielder. Rocco Baldelli has been fighting a mitochondrial disorder for some time now and he is on his way back. He has had a few at bats and is hitting well, if he is able to come back and play an outfield position for the Rays, and play it well, the Rays have a good shot at contending against the Yankees and the Red Sox. If Rocco comes back and they add another bat like Mark Teixiera, they are going to be a very good team. Remember when Baldelli played 92 games he hit .302 with 16 homers, it is tough to come back to the MLB after a long period off, but it would be a good story if he was able to play well for the Rays.
