As expected, the Atlanta Falcons have announced that Matt Ryan (pictured) will be the teams #1 QB. This is a move that needed to happen. He is as smart as any QB to come out in recent years, and has the best chance of succeeding from the get go in a run-first offense. The team was as bad as bad can get last season. It can only get better with the new "face" of the franchise.
I watched him this past Friday vs. Tennessee, and Matt looked great. Even balls that went incomplete were in the right place. They even let him run a little 2 minute no huddle offense (though it was hindered by a personal foul on Roddy White).
As they say in poker, I'm all in with this guy. The new Falcons management has done a great job with the draft, the cuts and now the depth chart. The 2008 schedule has some good opportunities for early W's. Let's go Falcons! The Pro

I am excited also - a "New Face" is exactly what we need - I also thought he did well and I was both mad and excited at all the fights breaking out - put ryan back further but I liked the fire!! Cant wait to see what happens
I agree. A very smart, composed quarterback, like a Brady - Manning. I was a great draft for the Falcons. A starting quarterback, middle linebacker and offensive lineman. WOW! So far, this new management looks good. My expectations are getting higher. Since baseball is over (go Braves), I'm getting excited about football.
