Not a lot to say, but here goes... I do not condone the political thoughts and ideas of the Joe. Everyone looking and waiting for this "change" will be in for a rude awakening. Obama has brainwashed the majority of his supporters and has turned the election into a white / black competition. It's sad to see so many voters with no idea what either candidate stands for to choose a candidate based on simply their race. I can't tell you how many radio stations I have listened to over the past 6 months where ignorant people who probably can't read a book call in and chant Obama, Obama simply because he is 50% African American. It is what it is. This is why we vote!
That is all. Comment if you wish, but this is my 1 and only post about politics.

AMEN
Double R...I love ya, but I have to disagree with you.
I respect you for your decision and sticking with it, but since it is not open for discussion, for this is your one and only comment on politics. Why? Usually the thing we don't want to talk about or do is because we might actually be very good at it. We should talk about it, expand our minds, life is too short, because How can we change if we are not willing to, willing to listen, willing to try, and give respect when respect is due? Shows me that you are not open to hear the music, when I know you are, and I know you of all people are legit, and don't believe everything you hear on a radio station or fox news. We take the facts, the stats, the tools, the OFP and the intagibles and make an informed decision.
Some people may like Big O because he is black, sad, but some might like McCain because he served our country, or Sarah Palin because she is a breath of fresh air and a hockey mom. Garbage. I cant stand her...And Maybe some actually know exactly who they are voting for and why? Maybe we can keep the momentum going, and have an adult discussion one day if your open to listen to someone who knows the details and issues in depth of both parties, but I guess our votes are cast. I got facts homey if you want them. I am always willing to listen and learn something from someone else as well, (as stubborn as I may be sometimes) that knows what they are talking about, in order to grow and welcome change for a positive, even if it is hard....just saying...I still got nothing but love for ya...
Go Obama!!!
I will be glad to discuss with you big ben.
My opinion, the reason McCain lost is because the republican party and his team are a bunch of idiots. Instead of pointing out facts and debating Obama, he tried attacking him when it was obvious the voters do not care about his associations. If you want socialism, then thats fine, your entitled to your opinion. But don't think that you just elected someone who believes in a republic. The next 6 months will tell the story. Lets hope this man doesn't doom our economy by increasing taxes right now.
Another thing, America wanted a "change" in 2006 and voted a bunch of Democrats into office. Lets see how much more damage a Democratic controlled government can do and still try to blame Bush, even when he is out of office. I guarantee you, if Barak and the Democratic congress fail and hurt this economy more, they will still blame W, and you nieve supporters will just nod your head in agreement.
Matt M...you don't know me, so watch who you talk to and how you speak to someone before you put your assumptions on them...it makes you look like as ass.
Lesson #1 treat someone like you would want to be treated. You will be able to keep your respect and dignity. If you want to live in fear that's all you. I live in faith for a better tomorrow and it's time to move forward with our hopes and stand beside our President instead of looking back on our fears.
Why I voted for Obama?
Let's look past the McCain campaign's traditional fear tactics tactics like you mentioned. Obama is not a terrorist. He is not "terrorist-friendly," regardless of what Sarah Palin told you. Ayers happens to live in the same neighborhood as him, and Obama and Ayers once sat on a board together, along with many other people! The fear-mongers told you otherwise, but, reality is separate from fear. The Ayers story, his middle and last name, the color of his skin were meant to distract you from the reality that Obama's plans for our Economy, Energy future, Education, National debt, Foreign policy, Infrastructure, Healthcare, etc, etc, etc, are what this country needs for today.
We have a president who doesn't care about the partisans, but about the people. We have a president who applies common sense to politics, and not just party doctrine.
We have a president who won't try to scare me into siding with him.
We have a president who knows when to be calm and when to be charismatic.
We have a president who has enough sense to pick someone for VP who is qualified and ready to take the reigns should anything happen to him.
We have a president who isn't afraid to talk to, and stand up to, our enemies.
We have a president that refuses to operate the way "it has always been done," but instead favors the way it SHOULD be done.
This list could go on and on and on. I have been an Obama supporter since the beginning of the presidential primary. And NO one can honestly and intelligently say that we know nothing about him, that he's some kind of mystery. The information is available for those who choose to see it.
He will make a fantastic president. And if there is any doubt in your mind, I guarantee you....guarantee.That YOU will benefit from his presidency. The legacy we leave behind to our children starts now. The people have spoken, and not based on what the news pundits tell you, nor what you see in commercials or soundbytes.
(Here comes the HOOK)
Now was that you...that called me nieve???
Yo Matt M??? Tell me how my ass taste!!!
BIG BEN
"Watch who I talk to..." Please, I didn't even make an asumption about you, I was making a general statement about voting for Obama. I don't live in fear and I hope I am dead wrong about Obama. I truly hope he will become the greatest president this country has ever seen. I was just stated my opinion. Didn't your previous post state that you wanted to talk about it. "Shows me that you are not open to hear the music." Hypocrite!
I never said he was a terrorists. I was referring to Rev Wright and Franklin Raines and ACORN. I wasn't sold on the Ayers connection, so stop with the standard talking point.
"We have a president who doesn't care about the partisans, but about the people." Your kidding right. You know Obama and Biden were voted the most "liberal" senators. And when has Obama stood up against his party and all the known corruption in Chicago, never. Biden is qualified as the VP. Based on what. 30 years of service. At least we know he is patriotic and has donated an astounding $3,000 while making almost $2 million over the last 3 years.
"The Ayers story, his middle and last name, the color of his skin were meant to distract you from the reality that Obama's plans for our Economy, Energy future, Education, National debt, Foreign policy, Infrastructure, Healthcare, etc, etc, etc, are what this country needs for today." Just because the color of his skin matters to you, doesn't mean it matters to me. I never questioned his name, his skin color, his supposed ties to Ayers, his supposed ties to Islam, none of that. Like I stated in my post, if you believe in socialized healthcare, redistribution, government controlled education, then that is your right. I DO NOT.
Instead of saying that Obama's plans for this country are what we need, why don't you describe what his plans are? I will for you:
1. Raise taxes on citizens and "corporations." As if corporations pay taxes anyway! That will not work in this economy and if he raises taxes, the economy will tank even more. And, people will start losing their jobs. Go see what the unemployment rate is in socialized countries.
2. Pull out of Iraq and go to Afghanistan, Darfur, etc (I happen to agree here).
3. Spend more money on education. It has shown for years that government education doesn't work. (The US spends more money than any country and still is at the bottom for education)(both Obama and McCain wanted to spend more.)
4. Increase dependence on foreign oil by not drilling for oil in the US. Why is it ok to drill in the Middle East but not in the US? FYI, I'm pro protecting the environment no matter what and looking for other energy solutions.
5. Universal healthcare, everybody gets it for free. There is no such thing as a free lunch. You will pay for it with higher taxes. I have heard different reports on socialized medicine. (good and bad). I haven't done any research myself. The ONLY problem I have with anything the government controls is that the people have no recourse against it. What will happen if the government health clinic decides not to treat you cancer? What can you do? Nothing. That is my only issue and its the same for education and the same for social security. Which by the way in my opinion is a tool used by the government to keep the wealth of citizens down. A privatized (not saying I want to take it away from the elderly who have paid in their whole lives) SS plan will let the people keep their money, so if they die at the age of 30 with no kids, then their retirement (SS) can be passed to their family and not to the government. This is how wealth is increased and how the wealthy become wealthier.
I was never a strong pro-McCain person, not even a fan of Palin. I am a libertarian who doesn't watch FoxNews (I don't get it on my DishNetwork package). I don't vote for the president to benefit myself, I vote to benefit this country. This country has spoken, Obama spanked McCain and I hope I am wrong about him. I hope he isn't a socialist like I think he is, but time will tell. And if you believe in socialism, then that is fine, that is what America is about, your opinion and getting to state it.
"Lesson #1 treat someone like you would want to be treated. You will be able to keep your respect and dignity." "Yo Matt M??? Tell me how my ass taste!!!" We can tell your a dignified and respectful person.
