The defending world champion Warner Robins was knocked out this week in the Southeast Regional by Westside Little League in Mobile, Alabama. Warner Robins took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning and then Mobile answered to tie it in the bottom of the inning. Westside went up 6-2 until the 5th when WRLL scored 3 to make it 6-5. In the bottom of the 5th Westside went up 11-5 with 5 runs. Finally, in the top of the sixth the team from Georgia scored 9 runs to go up by 3 and what they thought was enough to advance to the championship game, but it wasn't as Alabama scored 2 runs to cut it to one and then it set the table with two outs and two on for Atcheson, Westside's third baseman. He hit the first pitch for a home run and Mobile, Alabama moved on to play Tampa for a trip to the Little League World Series. Congrats to Warner Robins for another great season, would have liked to seen a back to back championship.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the little league world series!! sorry georgia wont be there but how bout these little guys1 - I went to several world series (travel ball) with my son the 1st at about 13 or so in Starkeville missippi in August - talk about heat!! But these kids going on the field to We Are the Champions made all the days in the park worthwhile - the last one they won at ? 18y.o. in High Point N.C. (travel ball) - got a championship ring and all!! Pretty cool - I miss those days although college ball was the coolest to watch - maybe watching him pitch as a professional was actually the greatest thrill of my life - so from the little league world series to the bigs - what a trip --- for the mom as well as the player - go little guys
are you talking about little Ronnie?
you got it!!!!
